Troubadour Resources is advancing its exploration strategy at the Senneville Gold-Silver-Copper Project by conducting a follow-up induced polarization survey in the eastern Val d'Or district of Quebec. The 3,000-meter survey, conducted across five parallel lines by Geophysique TMC of Val d'Or, addresses gaps from previous geological investigations and prepares the company for its upcoming maiden drill program. This systematic approach targets areas with potential gold mineralization that had not been previously targeted by diamond drilling.
Preliminary results from a November 2024 IP survey identified two zones favorable for exploration, with the current survey already revealing chargeability anomalies along the hanging wall and footwall contacts of the Senneville Komatiite in areas without previous diamond drilling. These newly identified zones correlate with earlier metal anomalies for silver, copper, nickel, and zinc, suggesting the presence of previously overlooked mineralization potential. The strategic location of the Senneville property, which spans 255 mineral claims covering over 12,000 hectares adjacent to Probe Gold's Val d'Or East properties, adds significant importance to these findings.
The geological significance of this exploration effort lies in its potential to uncover new mineral resources in a historically productive mining region. The neighboring properties to Senneville host a combined resource of 6.7 million ounces of measured and indicated gold and 3.3 million ounces of inferred gold, indicating the district's substantial mineralization potential. Of particular interest is the Gustave Cere gold showing, where historical drilling has revealed high-grade gold intercepts ranging from 1.4 g/t to 18.75 g/t. These gold-bearing veins share similarities with neighboring Novador deposits and are characterized by quartz and quartz-carbonate veins with disseminated pyrite mineralization.
CEO Chris Huggins emphasized the company's fresh approach to exploring the property, focusing on areas beyond previous exploration efforts. By employing advanced geophysical techniques, Troubadour Resources is strategically positioning itself to identify and potentially develop previously overlooked gold mineralization opportunities. The upcoming spring 2025 diamond drill program will test these newly identified potential zones, representing a critical next step in validating the survey findings and advancing the project toward potential resource development.
